Yamato Announces Leadership Change in the Americas

Ralph Kieselhorst stepped down as president, chief executive officer and Bill Pierce was appointed president by Yamato’s board of directors.

Yamato Corp.’s board recognized Pierce’s industry experience, leadership skills, and motivational capabilities align with the aggressive global growth initiatives that have been outlined for all Yamato subsidiaries around the world.

Pierce steps into this role prior to his 20-year anniversary with Yamato. Since joining Yamato, Pierce has held a variety of progressive sales roles and responsibilities including spearheading the growth of Yamato’s OEM program, one of the organization’s most successful sales channels. Most recently, he served as Yamato’s vice president of sales and marketing.

Pierce expressed his excitement saying, “I see so much potential for Yamato Corporation’s future. I am honored to be given this opportunity and responsibility to develop our organization and its employees. Yamato’s products are some of the best in the packaging industry. Our people are, too.”

The board and all the associates of Yamato Corp. thank Kieselhorst for his 12 years of leadership and his 24-year commitment to the company since he first helped open Yamato’s office to support the Americas in 1998.
